About Me

Hello, fellow skateboarders, and welcome to Philly Skate Hub. My name is Michael Walsh and I will be your guide on this journey through skateboarding in Philadelphia. I imagine that you’re here because you are either skateboarder or a Philadelphian interested in skateboarding but unsure of where to begin. My goal is to share my own experiences skateboarding in the City of Brotherly Love to provide you with spots and parks to skate as well as arm you with the knowledge of a local.

I have been skateboarding for about seven years now. I grew up skating Radnor skatepark as my local spot. These seven years have been interrupted by high school sports, moving to a new state for college, and a handful of injuries. I’ve learned and relearned how to skateboard many times and unfortunately it isn’t like riding a bike. Once I returned to Philadelphia I was able to skate many of the spots that I skated growing up. Delve deeper into the Philly Skate Hub to unearth the tales of my friends and myself as we push through the city.
